Support our life-changing charity
Beyond Words is the UK's national charity for visual and emotional literacy. Our word-free picture stories, book clubs and work in schools make a real difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities, children and young people, refugees, and all the people who support them. The power of pictures can help people make friends, take ownership of their feelings and better understand the issues in their lives.
As a charity, we need your help to keep our work reaching the people who need us. Too many people with learning disabilities are not living their lives to the full. Too many young people are struggling to learn because they are hurting inside. Your support will help us to reach more people who need us.
There are lots of ways you can help out - from fundraising for us, to volunteering, to making a direct donation.
Make a donation
Your support will help people with learning disabilities, young people, refugees and their carers and families live fulfilled, happy lives.

Fundraise for us
Are you a fabulous fundraiser? Do you want to help your local book club or feelings group? We're looking for individuals and groups to champion Beyond Words' work and raise funds and awareness in their local communities. From sponsored paddles to fun runs, from bric-a-brac to bake sales, we would love to hear from you if you have fantastic ideas on how you can fundraise for our small charity. Volunteer
As a small charity with a tiny staff team, volunteers help us to reach communities across the country.
We are always looking for people who can help us run, host or facilitate book clubs and frequently have other volunteer opportunities too. We provide free training and support for volunteer book club facilitators.
