We have all watched reports from Afghanistan in recent days with a growing sense of horror as we have seen people fleeing for their lives. Terrified, confused, and often hungry, having left everything behind to try and save their families.
On 9th February, the PCPLD Network hosted a free webinar on ‘Supporting people with learning disabilities in bereavement’.
Beyond Words Chair and Founder, Baroness Hollins, presented to 2500+ attendees about how people with learning disabilities experience bereavement.
On 21 January 2021, Beyond Words Chair and Founder Baroness Hollins joined other contributers and editors to launch a new book from the Home Renaissance Foundation: People, Care and Work in the Home.
We're working with Prof Barry Carpenter CBE and teachers Alison Erskine and Jenny Hawkes to develop two new stories to support all primary school children – mainstream and SEN – in their return to school. Lenny and Lily in Lockdown and Lenny and Lily Return to School will help children make sense of their experiences, communicate their feelings and prepare for more change as they go back to the classroom – and they will be available completely free of charge.
